A healthy self esteem is based on how you feel about yourself. Generally, I have been fortunate I associate with good natured, encouraging, supportive people. I count myself blessed to have such good people in my life to keep me grounded. So how do I feel about myself? I feel good and positive. Why? because I am guided by my own daily principles.
How do you genuinely feel about yourself?
Don't answer yet. Here are some of the principles I am guided by:
Don't think or speak negatively about yourself, it will do more harm than good to your self esteem.
Remove self limiting beliefs. A 'can do' approach all the way will set you on your journey to realising your dreams.
Focus on your abilities and your potential. Find out what you like to do and just do it to the best of your ability.
Embrace courage. Courage is vital, do not be dissuaded. If you have set out to do something for a good cause whether that is to develop your confidence or to help and support others in the best way you can, then do it, you own that right.
Do not waste your time and energy on people who will set out to 'spite' you. These sort of people are 'mean spirited' and will seek to stir up negativity and try to drown your dreams. Don't let them.
Deal with negative criticim. How? Use it as fuel to keep you moving forward in your life. Remember negative criticism can build your self esteem by making you a stronger person.
Determine your own self-worth. Do not allow your self worth to be judged by others.
Keep your shortcomings in perspective. Learning is a daily exercise.
Rise above ignorance. Use discernment. Most of all remember to
LIFT OTHERS, BY ENCOURAGING THEM AND STRIVE TO BE HAPPY.
