My background is in Human Resource Management, specifically in the field of personal development. I am a Chartered Fellow member of the CIPD and I hold a Masters Degree in HRM.

Interests: I enjoy writing it is very therapeutic; I love reading good books.  As for shopping it has got to be good quality shoes and I need my lipstick.   Groceries I say do it on-line. If I have to watch tv, personally I prefer listening to music,  it will have to be Judge Judy, Oprah, Dr Phil or something from the Discovery channel. I enjoy eating out, socialising and having fun. At times I seek solace by going for walks to my favourite place (reflection park) with my fun loving family and our beloved dog.

Movies: How can you not like 'Gladiator'? The film 'Click' gave me food for thought hence I’m trying to slow down the pace of my hectic life; 'Italian Job' for the action, 'Captain Courageous' an oldie but a goodie, so very meaningful.   The kid in me just loves 'Toy Story' and of course 'Sleepless in Seattle' romantic fun.

Music: My IPod runneth over. A wide spectrum from Popular to R&B, Classical, Motown you name it. I even like some of the noise the kids play, don't ask?

Books: I recently read Dreams from my father (Barack Obama) ; Rich Dad Poor Dad (Robert T. Kiyosaki); Succeeding Against the Odds (John H Johnson); Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway (Susan Jeffers); My Family and other animals (Gerald Durrell);  Foods that Harm Foods that Heal (Readers Digest); Understanding Organisations (Charles Handy); What Management Is (Joan Magretta with the collaboration of Nan Stone).

Future: Writing more books.

Things I need to change about Helen? I seek perfection, and I must stop interfering with the kids homework.

Helen's gripes:  Folk who do not say 'please' or 'thank you.'  Politicians who are clueless.  Parents who do not take responsibility.... there's lots more.
